Door and Hinge

This wooden door and hinge combo is found on a beautiful music box that used to belong to my mother. I believe she brought it home from her trip to Europe in the late 1940's. I don't know for certain, but that's what I've always assumed. The inside has a sweet depiction of Mary and the infant Jesus and it plays a lovely rendition of a classical tune whose name I can't recall at the moment!

@maggiemae Thank you Maggie! You are looking from the top of the "box" down to the base here. It's shape is more like that of an arched door to a church. If I have a day where I combine the two challenges again, I'll try to remember to post a full shot for you.

i love music boxes, i have one but it has a stupid tune - raindrops keep falling on my head - it's actually a jewelry box with several little drawers but i only put the special edition of the american quarters i'd get every now and then. looking back i had a powder container that an old flame gifted me with back in the late 70's and it had the 'love story' tune. my father still has it because the song reminds him of my mother. i may never get it back.
