When I saw the words for the Label 4 April challenge "Look Up" and "Look Down", I thought it would be fun to find a subject that offered me both options. I took several different combos of a wide variety of subjects but the staircase in the bell tower of our church won out in the final post. The windows at the very top are made of red glass, and on a sunny morning like today the whole staircase is awash in red.

@salza Thanks Sally! Yes, I did have the camera turned differently each time- mostly to avoid certain things I did not want in the picture- like an open door or something in the ceiling. On this shot I did have one a bit more like the Look Down shot, but you weren't able to see the windows in that one and I decided I wanted to include them to give all that red a reference.
