Some of you call this a Periwinkle. I've always called it Myrtle because that's what my mom called it. It was one of her favorite Spring flowers, so I'm posting it in her honor.
Lovely thought and a lovely thought. I had a shot of the daffodil today and a shot of the periwinkle that i took yesterday. I decided on the daffodil. :)
@nadaa Thanks Nada. I was thinking of doing another shot of my daffodils. After all they are my favorite flower! But I remembered I had this shot too, so I decided to go with something a little different.
i think i'm caught up with your albums. now i wonder who else i need to visit. if this was a work out, i'd be so slim you won't even see me anymore. :-D
@allie912 Thanks Allison! I will have to remember to check out my wildflower book and see. You might be right. @summerfield Thanks Vikki- it sort of breaks the rule of thirds to be smack in the middle, but I think in this case, the rule was made to be broken.
this must be myrtle.. cause mom's always knows the best..
what is fun is that I stole some of this plant from the hospital's garden yesterday.. we believe that stolen flowers root better and faster..=P.. of course without ruining the mother plant..=)..
I love the colour and the details.. beautiful shot..
@eniaral Thank you Laraine! @inertie Thank you Pinar! Yes, this plant transplants really well. Although you might not think so from this shot. My soil is not great so this probably would have spread a lot faster if it was. @henrir Thank you Henri! @daisy Thank you Kathryn!
I have some of this. I did photograph it earlier in the month or so, not sure I posted. I got it from a friends years ago, but I never knew what it was called. :-) Happy Spring :-)
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri!
@dakotaburns Thank you Donald!
@fullcircle Thank you Cindy!

Thank you Rick, Dione, Nicole and Sally!
