Thank you Carla, Cathy, Hillary, Gerry, Kerri, Jennifer, Terry and Roe Jan!
@roejan At first the picture was composed this way to avoid tail lights and head lights distracting the shot. But then I realized I really liked what bringing more sky into the shot did to the picture.
Beautiful shot, Ann! :) I love the colors and the tone! How do you get sunsets without getting flare or sun spots?? I can't figure it out. Great job on this! :)
I apologize for being late on comments. I have been a bit out of commission and am just catching up now. Thanks for understanding!
@daisy Thank you Kathryn! @digitalrn Thank you Rick! @sangwann Thank you Dione! @henrir Thank you Henri! @salza Thank you Sally! @prttblues Thank you Bev! This one actually was taken after the sun went below the horizon but you can still see a bit of its glow on the right there. Ummmm, I'm not sure how I get the shots without flare or sunspots but off the top of my head, I think you get the spots when your lens is aimed in a certain angle toward the sun or light source. I'll have to look out for a sunset I can shoot (lots of trees get in the way around here) and see if I can figure it out. In the meantime, I would recommend Damon Guy's web page Photokonnexion- he writes in a way that really makes things understandable. You can search through his articles and see if he has anything on it, or even type in a question. Check it out. I think the address is www.photokonnexion.com .
