Out in the Cold by olivetreeann

Out in the Cold

On my way to pick up the mail I noticed a tv that had been put out for the garbage before our last snowstorm was slowly emerging from its icy hiding place. It seemed a little creepy to me (although I don't really know why- maybe it was all that dirt and grit stuck in the snow!) so I decided to really go with that in the processing.
Hahahaha!! That is an odd thing to see!! Great find and eerie processing!

Nice catch, Ann! You made the tv look mossy! We have to recycle our TVs ... well unless they explode and you have to call the fire dept (like I did) and they move it for you. Cool processing. And on that note, this girl is going to lay down and take some more Benadryl because even though the worst of my allergic reaction dissipated with sleep, I still have a very hot and red face and nose and my ears are ringing so bad that I can barely hear anything and I have a splitting headache. The doc said it should be gone 24 to 48 hours. I've had this reaction before but nothing like what happened yesterday when the doc actually came to my house with medicine and epi pen. okay. talked too much. Nice shot. Well done Ann! :) You will see my pics tomorrow. Can't do them tonight. No way, no how.

@prttblues sorry to hear this, Bev, - will pass on good vibes to you! We have to recycle our tvs too - they are practically outdated now! Poor old tv here- no one loves you!

@luvmynynix Thanks Laurie! I know- but this IS the Poconos!
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
@prttblues Thanks Bev! I know you will be reading this on Friday, so I hope all that sleep and benedryl did the trick. Ringing ear, splitting headache- I'm surprised you got that much typing done!
@digitalrn Thanks Rick! I don't know and I'm not sure you can actually throw them out here. When we've had stuff like this to put in the garbage we usually break it down and bag it- just in case.
@maggiemae Thanks Maggie! Yes, poor thing- it even has rust on the bottom!
@northy Thanks Northy! This area is overrun by bizarre people. I can say that because I am not a native! haha Bizarre people have a knack for giving me some great photo opportunities, like this one:

@summerfield Thanks Vikki! It might be buried in there too- who knows!

It does look creepy, I do like the reflection in the screen

as long as they are not suddenly making sounds and showing ghostly figures.

I like the alien, under-the-radioactive-sea feel :)

Cool. You managed to capture a reflection on the screen, too. Well done.

I like how you caught the reflections on the TV screen. Really cool shot and it looks like a scene from a Stephen King movie.

@homeschoolmom @taffy @mzzhope @nicolecampbell @yaorenliu @alia_801 @sangwann @cimes1

Thank you Lisa, Taffy, Hope, Nicole, Yao, Alia, Dione and Carole. I'm glad I got out when I did- I'm down and out with a cold today- pounding headache and congestion. I don't even know how I picked it up, but somehow I did.

Creative processing. I like the reflections on the TV set. The reflections on the TV are like a photo within a photo.
