Pocono Brook a la Edwin Loyola by olivetreeann

Pocono Brook a la Edwin Loyola

This was a happy accident. I'd been taking pictures around Eschback farm and heard some gurgling water so I decided to investigate and found this small brook running along the edge of the wood line. I'm not really sure whether I had the camera set wrong or that I moved inadvertently when I went to snap the shutter, but the shot came out blurred- really blurred! However, I'd been planning to do some purposely blurred shots to imitate one of Edwin Loyola's techniques for the artist challenge and this worked perfectly for that! Although his pictures are more pastel and abstract by nature, mine is purely about nature, so I left the colors as they are naturally found just giving them some extra vibrance to mimic his lighter shades.
The colour and the movement are quite different and beautiful!

Magical! I wish I could get those kind of bright colours, I mean that geen is so vivid. Happy accident indeed, I have tried some blurred ones myself but it seams to be hard to get the asmount of blur just right, somehow I never seam to know which is enough or too much

It looks like a water color with beautiful bright paint as the base. I love the feeling of motion and the impressionistic feel.

@kerristephens Thank you Kerri!
@susale Thank you Suse! The color you see here was achieved in post processing. I use a free on-line processing site called Ribbet. After uploading the picture, all I did was adjust the temperature and saturation in the basic edit section of the website. I would recommend you playing around and experimenting that way with some of your pictures. You can also do the same in Picmonkey- which you get free on 365 being an ace member. Upload your picture to 365 and after posting it you can then edit in Picmonkey by selecting it in the box to the right of your picture. There are several different ways you can adjust the color like that. Just fiddle with it until you get the color you want.

@taffy Thanks Taffy! I wasn't really trying to blur it, but somehow I managed to do so- luckily it was perfect for this man's style.
