@aikimomm yes- the molting feathers really gave him a funny look!
@joansmor they have just started looking "gold" this week. This one looked rather comical since the winter feathers are giving way to the brightness of Spring.

The goldfinch is our state bird. Ours aren't so vividly colored, though.
