Just fooling around with my own balloon shot! This one's for Vikki. Which do you think would be better: a helicopter ride over Niagara Falls or a Hot Air Balloon ride over Niagara Falls. One thing for sure- they're both better than taking a barrel over the Falls!
@sarahlh Thank you Sarah! The balloons really were this colorful but the original shot shows how dull the gray day made them appear. Thanks to post-processing I was able to bring them back out.

Okay, this one really made me stop and think. I have been to Niagara Falls many times, but I didn't think I had ever seen hot air balloons. Some interesting editing here! Helicopters make me nervous, so I would choose the hot air balloon!

Didn't fool you Lisa! There are no hot air balloons that fly over the Falls but I do remember seeing a small one tethered a while back which would take people up and down. But that was some years ago now.
@quietpurplehaze Hazel you would be amazed at how nice it is to be in one. There is no wind (you're moving with it so you don't feel it) and the balloon really floats- it's wonderful!
So glad you all liked the composite- it worked quite well with these two shots. And it was pretty easy to do.
@basqgirl Thanks Amy! It would probably be an awesome ride but I'm not sure they'd be able to do it- I have no idea what kind of air currents are caused by the Falls.
Very cool, Ann. I think I'd rather do a hot air balloon. I missed the festival again this year. I'm sure I will see balloons throughout the summer though.
