Another barn off in the distance from my visit to the Sunflower field in Sussex County NJ, August 2014. This shot was processed in-camera. I don't have control over what colors the camera decides to keep and what it takes out, but it always makes for an interesting shot!
@mzbull This is pretty simple- nothing that I have to do except set the dial! The camera decides what colors it will keep and what it will take out. It really keeps you guessing!
aw schucks! what happened to the sunflower field??? oh, in camera processing. with my old little canon, i can choose the colours. i miss that little camera. maybe i should re-charge the batteries and give it another go. it's my moon camera, you know, as it takes better moon pic than the dslr.
@summerfield Thank you Vikki! Yes, this one looks a little surreal to me but I sort of like it! And yes- the Powershot is the moon camera. The zoom is better for it than the two lenses you gave me. However, since the inheritance is in hand I may be looking into one more lens for the T3i- either a macro or zoom...it will all depend on if and what kind of photography workshop I sign up for. LOL I keep telling myself it is really so I can see how one of those things works for Medina, but... (o:
@olivetreeann - i got a 50-300mm and a 24mm for the canon but i'm really enamoured with the 18-200mm that's been attached to both cameras, it's so convenient just to have one lens. i'm looking at the sigma 18-300 but since my arm is being devastated by arthritis, a mirrorless is in order or a bridge camera that can shoot raw.
funny, i know of someone who spends all her money on beauty products and botox and dermabrasion on her face, the other women are agog over her youthful appearance. then i tell them each treatment could get me a good solid lens. i will just photoshop my face rather than spend my money and go through the pain and aggravation of those beauty treatments. hahaha!
anyway, i think you should get at least one prime lens, a 60mm or a macro lens. i myself am aiming for a wide-angle. thankfully, canon lenses are cheaper than nikon.

@pools82 Thanks Mike! I can imagine! Thankfully the camera did all of this!
