I am reading "God is at Eye Level; Photography as a Healing Art" by Jan Phillips. I've been reading it on and off for a while and should have finished it months ago! Next up, "A Mother's Memoirs" by our own Maggiemae! I actually have read a few chapters already (which is why I didn't finish this book yet!) and it's very interesting to read of Jessie Todd's travels in 1929. As for Jan Phillips, it's interesting to read her thoughts and opinions on the photographic process and how it relates an inter-relates on the human level. If you're the contemplative sort, you'd like this book.
I am flattered that you have included my book in amongst the others which seem to be so philosophical and with meaning! Mine is a light frivolity but can be set aside and picked up again at will!
The new lens is working out well! Of course I know it's not the lanes but the photographer that is doing a fabulous job! Maybe we can have a virtual book club with @maggiemae book!! (;
Thank you Sally, Debs, Chris, Maggie, Janet, Francoise, Katy, Karen and Katy! I've particularly enjoyed the last two chapters and will be sharing some of it in quotes with my camera club.
@salza@cruiser You can get it on Amazon- easy to find. @maggiemae I'm looking forward to reading it again. I tend to like non-fiction and biography (I guess it's a mini-biography of sorts) over fiction these days. Your mum sure was adventurous! @grammyn Sounds fun! Funny with one fav and 13 comments this made the PP- it must have been on there for a whole 10 seconds! Thanks Katy!
