Using Color Creatively

Our photo club met at Quiet Valley Historical Village on Saturday and had the place all to ourselves for several hours. It gave us the opportunity to wander around and take photos to our hearts' content. I discovered this plant sneaking its way through some stair rungs on the back of an old farmhouse. I loved how the green popped against the darkened wood. This is the shot I will submit to the current Scavenger Hunt competition between our club and another area club under the category "Creative use of Color".

@cruiser Thank you Chris! It's always a treat to go someplace and shoot, but I have had many days where I had to find something in my own backyard. 365 has taught me that there are plenty of photos waiting right here in my home- I just need to have my eyes open to see them.
