We had an informal get-together for our photo club yesterday and the subject was "Sparking your Creativity". I walked the group through a number of exercises that help get the creative juices flowing. One exercise came from Freeman Patterson's book "Photography and the Art of Seeing". You are to sit still in one place for a number of minutes. Then you can start taking pictures. The shadows and fence line caught my attention. I liked the additional texture of the gravel and grass.
I do like that idea of sitting still for a few minutes before taking any pictures. Cant remember the last time I sat still outside. The patterns and twists in the reflection here make a great composition.
Thank you Wendy and Helen! I was glad that we had a sunny day and that it was not too cold. There was a little breeze once in a while, but all and all it was more like Spring is supposed to be!
Thank you Wendy, Audrey, Allison, Mariana, Joyce, Rob and Katy!
