This was my first practice session taking portraits using the Ice Light but now I am on my own!! My sister sat for me and has made me delete all the photos I took of her - she says she looks too much like our mum at 90 years of age!! She was holding a reluctant Finlay in some of the shots and I have had to crop Barbara out of the shot. I definitely could not get such a beautiful light as I had last week photographing Tammy - mind you Simon was arranging the light and telling me how to use the light meter. I seem to have forgotten how to use the meter so its back to the manual!!
I am doing the photoshoot on Saturday of my friend's husband's band and luckily he seems to want the shots to be taken outdoors on the farm. I am getting nervous now - why did I say yes to this? Hopefully we will have decent weather and I will get some good shots of the chaps with their guitars and drums. Keep your fingers crossed for me please!!
Finlay is always cooperative it seems -- so photogenic. You'll have a great time with a willing subject. You can photograph conventionally, hands, instruments in action, etc. So you'll have a ton of fun, I'm sure. And then have hundreds of shots to work with too!
Adorable adorable adorable!!! And didn't I have a laugh about Barbara's comments! We are ALL our own worst critics! (The one's who aren't are most likely runway models!)
