Today was my sister's birthday. She would have been 66, but pancreatic cancer took her June of 2011.
After visiting with her and leaving flowers, my friend and I tried to sneak up on the flock of Canada geese that are attracted to the pond there. Darn birds wouldn't let me get close enough for a decent shot. Took at least 2 dozen pics, all of them pretty crummy.
Then I toyed with reflection shots off a granite wall next to the mausoleum. Eh, I'm no good at that either....yet.
Awesome shot of such a beautiful flower.
Sorry to hear about your sister I'm sure she would have been impressed with your photography efforts. And we all have to start somewhere....I'm not that great either compared to the photographers on 365...just keep plodding away at it :-)
So sorry for the loss of your sister last year. I lost a friend last year to the same cancer. I love this photo. The color, detail and lighting are all magnificent. Awesome and unlike yesterday, nothing in the way that would blur. You are getting it.
