Didn't like this one much, because I thought the yellow center was unattractive and detracted from the whole. It wasn't until I saw a recent photo from @grammyn , that the lightbulb lit up in my dim brain and I realized a tight crop would fix my problem.
Hey, I'm still new here. LOL
edit:
Hmmm, now that I see it posted here, it's pretty bad. Lost a lot of clarity. Obviously that rose bed hasn't seen the last of me. ;-)
I love the spots and stripes in the petals! I've noticed that photos here appear darker and less saturated, so I try to compensate before I upload by tweaking the brightness a little and increasing the saturation.
@melissapike
I've noticed that my photos look a little muddy once I post them, and at first I thought I was imagining it. I'm still learning how much tweaking they need in order to compensate for that.
@copperheadglass
Thank you. Actually our parking lot is pretty crummy, and the roses are in an area I don't normally go to, so that's why I never realized how pretty they are. Now I'm seeing that it really is a bright spot. :-)

I learn so much just from seeing other photos. It was your pink rose that gave me the cropping idea.

Thank you Nikki. The roses are lovely, and I will keep trying to get a better shot.
