Boy, I do suck rotten lemons when it comes to collages. I can't seem to get a handle on the basics. Elements of the collage keep disappearing on me and I just have massive issues with it. LOL
I do have faith that I'll grasp the concept at some point.
Anyway, after much arm wrestling, I present a boy and his dad during a bike riding lesson.
This was taken on an outing with @webfoot and a non-365 mutual friend.
I'm glad I was able to get several shots of this duo because it enabled me to put together a sort of time lapse triptych of daddy leaving son in the dust. It was actually a very touching affair and I have one more shot that is very sweet. It will get posted also.
Not sure if I prefer B&W or color, so the color version will probably make an appearance in my alternate album.
This is a really good collage. I like the story it tells. I never think of doing things like this and should as I see things like this happen and would only have to click a few times.
@darsphotos
Truthfully, taking multiple shots is something I've only begun to do since 365 in an effort to cover my butt. I quickly learned that one shot is often not a good shot...at least not for me.
Then when I happen to get several in a series like this, it can be difficult to choose just one. That's when a collage comes to the rescue. I never liked collages, but now I've learned that it's just the hodge-podge, messy collages that I didn't like. If they tell a story in some way, they can be very effective.
I'm glad you liked it.
@grammyn
It's the mechanics of getting it done that I can't get a handle on. I always manage to click the wrong thing and I don't even know what that wrong thing is. But it causes my images to evaporate and I end up with just one image instead of several. Then I have to go on hunting expedition to find the missing photos. Very frustrating to say the least, so I just throw in the towel and post whatever happens to look halfway decent.
But I WILL conquer it!
@grammyn
Picasa. It's what I can afford right now....free. ;-)
Actually I acquired a hand-me-down laptop that has some version of Photoshop on it, but I've only turned the laptop on a couple of times and I've had it over a year.
(I'm a desktop user)
I really do need to force myself to become familiar with the laptop and investigate the wonders of Photoshop. Watch out world! LOL
@pasadenarose i'm not smart enough for PS but picasa is quite easy to do collages. there are a few drop down menus that let you cusomze the collage and you can change the size of the photos. If I can do it you certainly can.i
