This sculpture has been in front of the Federal Building in Los Angeles for many years. It was only recently that I stopped hating it.
When I stopped to shoot it today, it was the first time I realized that there is no clean view. The background is cluttered from EVERY angle. Grrrr!
This POV seemed to be the least offensive.
Clever to put up a sculpture that is already shot full of holes in LA! You have actually picked a great POV for the shot. The guy on the left looks as if he is sitting on the building in the background or just about to.
@salza
Oh, I wouldn't be surprised if the artist has some meaning for the holes, but I don't know what it might be. Honestly, I don't think I know ANY of the meanings behind the modern sculptures around the city.
I'm not really into modern art, and that's why I stated that I hated this sculpture until recently. It's kind of grown on me. :-)
Really interesting sculpture! It is amazing once you start taking photos you then start looking for the background! It can drive you crazy! You captured this well!
