Kes by peadar

Kes

A long day, work, travelling, dentist, almost forgot a photo for the day, eeek!

This book was another Christmas gift. It tells the true story of Barry Hines' brother, Richard, who was the inspiration for the book "A Kestrel for a Knave", which was made into the film "Kes" by Ken Loach. Richard actually trained the kestrels that were used in the film. It is a lovely read.
Love your perspective for this photo and hearing what it is about...

A nice shot of this interesting looking book. Kes was a very moving film, which resonated with me since it was filmed close to where I grew up.
