Walking along the south bank of the River Thames, we came across this cityscape bathed in the golden glow of a setting sun.
The two red brick towers belong to Cannon Street station. Cannon Street runs just north of the river, parallel to it; the name derives from "Candlewright Street" as this was the area of the City which housed the candlemakers.
Behind the station you can see the more modern tower blocks which now dominate the financial sector in the old City of London.
