A Remembrance day queue to get into St. Mary's church, Arnold. It was standing room only inside the church,
Those of you who have followed me for some time, will know that my eldest daughter, Kirsty, is a music teacher at secondary school. Her love of music started when she was a brownie and joined the 'scout and guide marching band'.
She now helps out as a 'leader' at the scout and guide (and brownie and cubs) band and teaches the trumpet.
Today was church parade and the band marched through Arnold to the church.
The police did not turn up to 'escort the band', so it was left to Matt (my daughters fiancée) and myself to don the high vis jackets and stop the traffic on surrounding streets as the band marched from the scout hut to church.
My daughter played the 'Last Post' and 'Reveille' in church. Quite a poignant moment.
This shot shows the conclusion to the marching band as people queue along the church path to enter St. Mary's Church.
I shot contre jour as i liked the light streaming through the trees, I converted to monochrome and added an infra red filter.
This path has featured a few times on my 365 and I will be walking up this path in August 2013 as FOB (father of the bride)
Well a turn out to be proud of there Phil! Amazing number of folk.....you are a nice patriotic group in Arnold. You should have got a photo of you in your high viz jacket too! Must have been proud of your talented daughter as she played her Last Post.

What a proud day for you Phil. I watched mesmerised as a relative youngster played the last post on Songs of Praise this evening - a very moving moment. It reminded me of the evening we heard it played at Ypres - the tears flowed that day! It must have been an emotional moment for you.
