Our zodiac adventure began this morning on the west side of the island where we spotted several humpback whales. One came within 15 feet of our little inflatable boat but my shot of him just looks like a black rock in the water. Caught this one taking a dive far in the distance- maybe 50 yards away. It was exciting to see these giants up close but difficult to get a clear shot.
Once I spent an entire morning after waking up before sunrise chasing dolphins out in the sea (well, we were on a boat!), and I know how hard they can be to photograph! Moving boat, unpredictable appearances and movement, not a good combination, but an interesting experience! This is great....love the tail capture.
Great "spot" of whale aganst the lovely blue water. When my husband was working his office was located just above the ocean, and he could look out the window and see the whales on their northern and southern migration to and from Mexico, Interesting.
