Growing wild at the H4H house

I noticed this plant at quitting time on a Habitat for Humanity work day (which was not 12:11 a.m.), as it was just below the tailgate of a volunteer’s truck. Not sure what it is, but I suspect I can get some help on this one.

With confidence from a suggestion posted by Kathy, I sent this to my plant systematics expert with the conjecture that it’s in the genus Hyacinthus. His reply: “Yes, Hyacinthus, likely H. orientalis (or a cultivar involving that).

Not entirely sure how to use it properly, but I used ON1 Photo Raw’s Golden Ratio Crop tool overlay.

An aging hyacinth perhaps. A very nice POV.

@randystreat A nearby plant made me suspicious of Hyacinth, but I kept getting sidetracked to genus Muscari and Grape Hyacinth ... which is not a “hyacinth.”

Thank you, Kathy, for nudging me to dive a bit deeper!
