Chinese Money plant

Pilea peperomioides. Not to be confused with Lunaria annua (common names “Honesty,” “Annual Honesty,” “Money Plant,” “Moonwort,” “Satin Flower,” “Silver Dollar,” “Dollar Plant,” “Lunaria”).

Took one car in for an oil change and walked about 3½ miles home from the Student Rec Center. I stopped at the Plant Biology Greenhouse on campus. Sadly, I didn’t shoot many frames and my attempts at holding my cell phone directly over a large Golden Barrel cactus (Echinocactus grusonii) didn’t turn out very well.

I had a peperomia a long time ago. I recognized the leaf and stalk on this cousin.
