@fbailey I know what you're saying - they always look so lovely when returned to their former glory - or extended and renovated. I think you might need to have deep pockets for this one though. :)
@photobird Thanks Photo Bird. It does look like B&W doesn't it - my camera said it was taking it in Sepia? I did have a -1 exposure bias so maybe that made a difference. All very tricky. Thanks for having a look :)
@cruiser@sarahlth@lovingandsharing Thank you all for your interest in the old house. This area was a resettlement area for returned soldiers from WW1. Many of them found it difficult to make a living on the small allotments and moved away from the area. Hopefully the family moved to somewhere happier. Thanks again for your comments.
@granagringa I hadn't consciously noticed the road. But now that you have mentioned it - it does make the house seem more sad - waiting for someone to drive up! You have such a good eye for what will do what - at this stage I'm just going with a gut feeling. Will have to start being more analytical!! Many thanks!!
@dkbarnett I guess it's like some of those areas you have shown in your project - circumstance change and the people just move elsewhere. This used to be a lot of family produce farms - not economically viable any more. It's not in a very nice position too - so nobody would want to buy it for a weekended. It does indeed look lonely.
