It's encouraging to know you've got bees there. I see fewer and fewer of them these days. Pretty little blooms. They look like the kind that leads to some sort of fruit.
@lyndemc Hi Dense - we still see lots of bees in Stanthorpe - not many on the Gold Coast. Might be the difference in climate or the spread of the mites. This is a tree in an old orchard - it flowers earlier that all of the others - but never sets any fruit - never mind - it is beautiful. Thanks for having a look. Cheers Rob
This is so interesting to me in that it is lighter in the background than the light on the subject and it works, without standing out for being backlit, nor for my eye going to the lighter area. And of course there is that diagonal line and the inference of completion...so many nice elements here.
@granagringa Wow Madeline - I really don't know how you do this - how you can look at an image and pick out what makes it work or not work. It ended up like this because I had a -1 bias on the exposure. I'm going to keep in mind evreything you have said here and try to consciously use it again! Thank you again.
@olivetreeann Hi Ann - thanks for the photo - the flower does look very similar but I notice that yours still has leaves on it. Ours are totally bare. The old orchid has some apples which have produced a few fruit - but they are not even flowering now. All quite odd. Thanks again!!
@robz That was taken back in April although I'm pretty sure the tree still has its leaves at this time. Come October, they'll probably fall off in prep for winter.
