Some Gold Coast sights... by robz

Some Gold Coast sights...

The bridge to Ephraim Island. This is a 9ha island which boasts 385 residences. High density, high cost living with waterfront views...
Luckily there are still many islands which are undeveloped - as seen in the background.
Nicely composed

I had to look closely at this as there are so many layers of interest. Thanks for the infoo about the island.

A great pic. I’ve never been there. I assume the houses on this island are gorgeous.

Hi Corinne. I'm sorry to have to report that most of them are in blocks of units - about 3 stories high. I just had a look at the sold prices - it's currently about $2,000,000 for a 3 bedroom unit. It's not an area on the GC that we would ever consider living - much too overcrowded and overpriced...... In a lovely area though. :)

Hi Dione, Ann, Carole, Mags, Suzanne and Judith- Thanks for your interest and comments on the bridge - it's probably about 40years old, I can remember when it was built. It was very controversial. They pumped the island up onto some sand flats with mangroves and then built the bridge across to it. All very much man-made and profit driven... :)
