Walking along Rabat (Gozo)’s main road we saw this car being towed up the road and I said “Oh my God, somebody must have been hurt in this accident”. Then I saw two ladies talking about it and my curiosity made me ask what had happened. I learnt that the car belonged to a Gozitan and the accident happened in Malta. It was being towed home. Unfortunately a dog was killed by the accident and someone was injured. Felt sorry for both.

Thank goodness you drive on the left there! The passenger side looks awful -- like no one could have survived it. Very sad about the dog and the injured party.
Oh how awful, what a shame, I have no idea why the vehicle is been towed home however, surely this cant go back on the road, the cost of recovery will be huge. It makes no sense.
Well its something to photograph and a scary lesson to all who drive! Dogs seem to get hurt the worse in cars - unless they are restrained with a belt!
My first thought was that the driver must have been killed, but in my country the driver's side is on the wrecked side, and I think I see the steering wheel on the other side.
Thank goodness for seat belts - hope the other person is recovering. And I always worry about my dog in the car - she travels right in the back and too many people tail gate.
