Shot is from a walk along the promenade of the Marina di Ragusa on 21st July 2024, second day of our family get together in Sicily.
While on our walk at the marina, Jean-Pierre and I were struck by a travertine block which stood on the front porch if one of the shops. We looked at each other, knowing briefly what the word meant, and decided to have a picture with it, Michaela being the photographer with her mobile. I also told JP to point out our middle finger to go with the word ‘stronzi’. The shot was meant for fun and not intended to hurt anyone’s feelings.
Google translate says that stronzi stands for ‘’ assholes, fuckers, bitches, motherfuckers, jerks, asshole, turds, cunts, pricks”.
The background for the shot looked distracting to the scene and I therefore altered it with a fireworks picture from my 2023 album.
So here are both pictures. JP and I had a great laugh when we took this shot. I hope it will give you at least a smile, too.
