@luvmynynix - There weren't all that many tears shed, at least not right then. There was another poor mom whose little girl was frantic that her mother was going to leave her. The teacher finally carried her into the room. We could tell she was embarrassed. I told her that I use to be a bus driver and her daughter's behavior wasn't uncommon. My wife told her to go into an adjoining room so her daughter couldn't see her. Once mom was out of view she stopped crying. So seeing our granddaughter was handling it much better it made it much easier.
@judithdeacon - Oh she's been talking about going to school for months. She was more then ready. Hopefully her teachers will give her a positive attitude about school.

@mandyj92 - Thank you Mandy! It seems to me that when that principal handed me my diploma in high school time sped up. All through the 12 years of school time dragged until that moment. Then time became a blur.
@calm - Oh she did Cathy! Tomorrow is her second day and she can't wait. She is so outgoing. I hope that the teachers give he a positive outlook on school that will carry her on from here.
