The first time I heard the word, "Puce", as a child, this is what came to mind. But, the color puce is actually, according to Wikipedia', "dark red or purple brown color, a brownish purple or a dark reddish brown". I like my interpretation better. This is the door handle on a Jeep that must be an employee's at a local business my wife and I frequent. Playing with negative space.

I have a weird curiosity about how and when color names came into use. So had to go look up Puce. Boy we have a choice between flea droppings and the misuse of bad pea soup or pus. Took me a moment to figure out what this was. The person driving this vehicle is very confident.
