What appears to be a nicely manicured lawn is actually a lake bed. Due to the drought conditions this year the lake level is extremely low and grass is growing where water once covered.
@lynnb - It's been has here and I know the midwest has been very dry. We did get some much needed rain last night and early today.
@marlboromaam - I found one small pool of water that had a stick lying on the edge of it and tried doing some timed photos using my ND filter. Before I did three shots to do a HDR (6-7 minutes) the water had evaporated or sunk into the ground where I wasn't getting the reflection I was at first.
