Out of the Blue

sign #12
and so february has ended and because my theme for february is 'signs', i'm closing the month with this beer ad.

a few years back, our local transit had a workers' strike. on the second morning, i had prepared myself to walk 7.5 kilometres (4.6 miles) to our office in downtown toronto when out of the blue, this large bus owned by the Labatt's Corporation, painted in this very same mural, showed up picking up passengers. the capacity would have been about 25. the seats were oversized and leather upholstered with 3 television sets, air conditioned, and with free coffee and donuts. and at the end of the journey, they gave us free blue baseball caps. how cool was that? well very cool, considering it was the middle of july in sweltering heat.
...and no free beer?? lol

nice colours in this shot!
