i found this stunning mural of toronto skyline as viewed from the northwest, at the edge of the old moneyed district of the city. it's supposed to be a lovely day in the late summer or perhaps early fall. the part where the financial district was is, ironically, covered by real-life ivy clinging to the wall.
this is sooc but i thought i'd frame it in black to make the colours stand out.
@steeler@hanky - thank you so much. @jannkc - yes, it is from picnic. it is quite handy to be able to do something like a simple framing because most of the time that's all i want to do with my photos. you must try it.
@gailreese - thanks, gail. i was clicking my camera away on this mural when i had to stop to carefully look if the ivy was part of the painting and it wasn't, although it looked like it was.
hmmm, i wish! In March I was made redundant for 3rd time in 3 years (so short employments = absolutely minimal redundancy payments); this is part of the problem of working in the voluntary sector when a Conservative government gets in...all the funding for projects working with disadvantaged youth gets cut and all the projects close down (and then three years later the government has an issue with youth crime...it is not rocket science!)...so no money for travelling right now...but hopefully at some point in the future :-)
