on my walk this afternoon along my street, noticed this tree with fan-shaped leaves (gingko?) and it still has a full head of leaves. i also noticed that it has fruits, perfectly round golden fruits about the size of a golf ball. made me wonder if they are edible.
found the summer clothes in a newer suitcase underneath my bed. packing is 99% finished. not even getting to the 50 lbs. limit. then i remembered that i haven't put any pairs of shoes in there yet. now my handcarry. cameras, videocam, laptop, one set of change of clothes, toiletries and blankie. i shouldn't forget the passport, and copy of the itinerary. reading materials (note to self: bring camera's manual and read on the plane, old lady!)
the moon's out tonight but i really am not motivated to take a shot. i'll see how it looks like in the eastern hemisphere when i get there. i just might also get it from the airplane if i can fool anyone into exchanging their window seat with my aisle seat for a few minutes.
@pamfromcalgary - thank you, pam. i'm still up at 1 a.m. and in a quandary whether to bring two luggages or just one. this is why i like to drive when i go on vacation, because i don't travel light. when driving i just throw everything inside the car's trunk so there's no chance of forgeting any. i am too excited, too!
@bkbinthecity - there are still lots of trees in the city that haven't shed off their leaves. thanks, brian.
@alia_801 - you are right. last year some trees stil had their leaves in january after a few snow storms. that's probably why they were late in the spring. thank you, alia.
@jannkc - i know! i've just been to a park and all the trees but for one have turned colours but the leaves are all attached to them and there's hardly any on the ground. amazing! thanks, jann.
@altadc - am not happy with the packing; am getting stressed!!! :-) am good now. haha. thanks, kiddo.
@eddyj - eddy, i just saw a house at the beaches with the trees around it all green. what gives?!? thanks.
@steeler - howard, the tree is in denial. we're almost towards mid november and it's leaves are all in place still. but where i go there's probably no trees at all, just pretend ones. thank you, howard.
@catsmeowb - wow, thank you, camille. i was just reading your comment on your post. my imagination went wild with 'added another on the end, or on top'; i suddenly remember the first house my parents had that i could remember, it was something like that, too. funny how some of our lives almost mirror the other's.
