God Bless Our Home by summerfield

God Bless Our Home

This frame hangs on the wall just inside the foyer of my friend's beautiful home. i made this project for her home when she got pregnant with her first baby. at the time they had this quaint little home with the number 118 and i stitched that number on the project.

my friend and i met as employees of the first law firm i worked for when i came to canada. she was fresh out of legal secretarial school, a very attractive italian girl, very well mannered, and you can tell right away she was raised right by her parents - first young person i encountered with no "i, me, mine" attitude, but also someone who knew where to direct her life. she married a very nice young english-irish boy and now they have two beautiful teenaged daughters. seeing this happy family, i know her home is indeed blessed.

sorry for the late post, but the grands are here and i missed them so much all i wanted was to talk to them tonight. today, i had a great time with my friend and her family and tonight, with my grandsons.

if you are so inclined, see other post for today, http://365project.org/summerfield/365-again/2012-01-06

Spend time with grandchildren over posting on 365!? I would never do that! And if you believe that, I have some wonderful property in the Everglades you might be interested in...

@summerfield The Everglades are a National "Forest" area, mostly tidal water areas, off of Florida near Miami- not really conducive for building, but I'm pretty sure you knew that! Enjoy those grandkids!!

awesome gift for your friend! i hope you enjoyed every second with your grandchildren. they probably appreciated the time with you now instead of at Christmas, when they were so distracted with all the excitement.

what a lovely gift. It is so nice if you can give people something you have made (or designed) yourself

@patticake - for me that is the best gift, because then i know there was a lot of thought that was put into it for me. thank you, patti.
