i passed by this tree during my photo prowl at lunch time today. the blue lights were quite engaging. i should go back there at night and take shots. it's already february and the city still has not taken down the large snowflake Christmas tree and the lights wrapped around the trees. they probably will just leave them there for the next Christmas holidays.
totally uninspired these days. nothing nice to photograph. i should probably go up the CN tower and take city pano shots. can't wait to go on my next holiday in vegas with my best friend. we promised each other we would see each other at least twice a year starting this year. then in june i have a 'writing sanctuary'. then in july i will drive to as far west as i can drive to take pics. who's coming with me?
it's great how you have and continue to do so much travelling. i like your tree ... it has a cool shape. as for your inspiration, maybe you'll get some snow soon and that will give you a change of scenery.
I know what you mean about being uninspired - -believe I am now moving with the whole bucket list idea. I like the lights and the tree!! Neat effect you created!!
Uninspired isn't strong enough a word for me . . how about "hanging by a thread!" You should be pumped about the upcoming travels. And this photo is beautiful. Great pov and color. Lighting is beautiful. I'd say that you're winging along pretty good!! :)
@sunnygreenwood - you got it, anne. it's all gray and drab around here. even the lake is gray. yes, we need snow, about three feet. whatever happened to winter?!? thank you, anne.
@cscecil - just about to go check out your album. i saw on the dashboard your mass uploads. hahaha! thank you, CS.
@karenann - yes, but vegas doesn't happen until late april. as anne said, i need snow. i just looked at the pictures i took last weekend, they're all bleh! thank you for you kind words, my friend.
@1invisiblegrl - thank you, virginia. now that you said it, it reminded me of that spider man movie i saw with the grands.
@bkbinthecity - thank you, brian. one never knows where he/she might end up at the end of the day. sometimes i have the tendency to just purchase a ticket and hop on to a plane for a day or two. one time, i was driving and i ended up in cambridge, ontario one time and all i needed to go to was the neighbouring home depot. my family thinks i just get lost. hehehe.
i think this is beautiful - perhaps that is why they are leaving the decorations up, to cheer everyone up because it is so blah and bland outside. you could always plan a 'cabin fever reliever' get together with some friends. am planning one to keep malcolm from going stir crazy while recovering from his shoulder operation.
