last year i wanted to take this photo but couldn't quite get the effect i wanted, plus it was windy and the leaves won't stay still. fast forward to today, same crappy weather but no wind. the leaves aren't as red as last year's but this would do.
i was at the marina today watching the boats being lifted off the water and setting them on their individual racks. it was quite fascinating to see a boat in mid-air. a small boat takes about five minutes to get harnessed then lifted and set on its rack. seven to eight for bigger ones. i've watched about eight boats lifted off the marina and when i realized i should be taking photos, my phone rang and partner was a few metres away to pick me up. drat!
