i have never seen this building or its famous mural at night until now. and it looked great especially that the lights inside are on, except for the second window from the top but the lights of the trees in the park were reflected on it. was surprised that there were quite a lot of people milling about. probably because we had decent temperatures even when i was there. i know because i lasted a long time without putting on my gloves.
cranked the ISO to get better details of the mural. i also discovered that the dinky little tripod i have underneath my desk is much better than the big one i have at home. the dinky little one is straight, whereas the big one at home is not level, no matter what fiddling i do with it. just proves once more that cheap doesn't mean inferior.
i was going to process this to black and white but i think i will re-shoot it next year in bw. yeah, i'm kinda liking black and white now, that i'm kinda thinking i'll have a month of black and white photos. maybe in february when the month is shorter. how about it, ann?
Sounds like a plan Vikki- except we might have to do one selective coloring shot for Valentines- but that would look really cool on the calendar view too! A whole month of b/w with one little spot of red! Great shot!
SO cool.....at first glance it looked kinda like a spooky haunted Halloween castle to my eyes....love it - and am reallly drawn to the windows...nice work
@noragentian - thank you, ruth. fame is so fleeting. i actually saw it when i was at the office, but when i got home it's not there anymore. but glad you saw it. thanks again.
Oh so sorry to hear that. It's always so motivating to be on the PP. Did you tried to shuffle? Sometimes you have to press the shuffle button more than once to let appear a special photo .
@noragentian - yes, it's back there now. it is motivating to be on the pp but i try not to dwell on it so much. you have a lot of really great photos and i know you're often on the pp; i love looking at your albums. thank you, ruth.
@summerfield for being on the PP? not sure you have much control over that... the magic monkeys are horrifically unpredictable... but do think this is an awesome photo!
@sarasdadandmom - a double thank you soooooo much, terry. :-)
@bkbinthecity - a double thank you to you, too, brian.
@tinmaddog - thank you, TMD.
@abhijit - thank you, ab.
@sticksandstones - yeah, it would've been nicer had there been lights on the trees around it. thank you, kiddo.
@eniaral - thank you, laraine.
@pamfromcalgary - thank you, pam.
