I was so excited for today's ONS3 challenge -architecture - given that Chicago has such rich offerings. I'd planned a break from work to stroll around downtown and snap away. Instead, it was a dreary, rainy, yucky day so I looked closer to home. I've played around with photos of this area because I like the structure and lines top, bottom, sides. I decided to just do B&W today since I missed the B&W day of the ONS3 challenge and this serves both purposes.
It has such a feeling of calm -- perhaps it's that the repetitive patterns of the architecture are on all sides? Yet the trash can in the center that I initially wished had been over to one side or the other is just what this photo needs to keep from being predictable. I especially like it in b & w.
