I tried to create a ghost image of myself for the ONS3 'selfie' challenge. I tried different aperture settings and this was the one that worked the best -- but is not particularly the effect I wanted. I just ran out of light (and time). I'd appreciate help/critique in how I could have made the ghost show up stronger but still be somewhat transparent.
Great idea. The only thing I could think of would be to make two exposures (one with you in and one without) and in Photoshop using two layers with you on the top layer, lower the opacity of the top layer. Everything would be in register (so would appear to be good and solid) except you. Then you can play with the opacity to your hearts content until you get the right level of see-throughness.
@steampowered Thanks for the guidelines. I don't have Photoshop but have a layering program. I'll have to try again retaking the photos as you suggested.
@taffy Hi Taffy, you can download the GIMP from here http://www.gimp.org/ and then use Youtube as your source of expertise. It's a bit quirky but it does almost everything that Photoshop can do (and it's FREE)
