I like how the shapes are echoed here. Thank you for your kind comments. I had similar aims to you at first, and feel as if I've come a long way in terms of composition and what makes a good picture. However, I'm slow at learning the ins and outs of what the camera will do. To that end I'm taking a camera course in March, so I hope that will teach me to understand it better and use the manual settings more.
