Clang Clang Clang Goes the Trolley

San Francisco's trolleys have been around since the 1870s and are an iconic part of the city -- thought they are mostly for tourists now. We met friends for dinner at a longstanding restaurant on Powell Street where the trolley still runs. As we were walking back to the hotel, one very conveniently clanged in the distance, appeared, and slowed as it went by.
I'm going to try to keep up with posting while here, but know that I'll fall behind in commenting. I just want to say think you for all the wonderful comments and favs this past week that led to one of the most amazing photo weeks I've had since joining 365. I was so excited to have two shots in the TT group this week and to have my multiple exposure selected in the technique challenge. Really an amazing feeling. On 365, I know that only happens because of my peers' support. I'm very grateful. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

We are visiting San Francisco next year as part of a West Coast fly-drive holiday...... Can't wait to ride and photograph one of these trams! Great night photo, perfect exposure.

I love trams and have wanted to go on the ones in San Francisco for a long time. I used to be a Tram Conductor in Melbourne a long time ago and it was one of my favourite jobs.

SF is one of my favorite cities. Hope that you enjoy it. We went their for our honeymoon and then ended up moving out to Cali and were only 2 hours away. Ironically I wasn't really into photography during any of my visits there. Annoys me that I missed so many ops.

Being a middle aged bloke, who lived his teen years in the late 70s early 80s, I like punk music, in my kids eyes that makes me cool. That same middle aged bloke also likes trams and trains, not cool!! I'd love to ride the trams of SF, but to get this past my kids I'd have to take them to see the 49ers too!! Nice shot.
