The Golden Gate bridge divides the San Francisco Bay from the pacific ocean. This was taken from our friends' home in the Berkeley Hills (and is where went on yesterday's sunset cruise). Looking from the bottom of the photo, you see the sparkle of buildings in Berkeley, then the bay (with the tip of the peninsula from one of the Berkeley parks poking in from the left). Viewed large, you can even see a sailboat. And then the Golden Gate bridge.
It was fun in SF and I'm enjoying the visit to Berkeley (and the work we are doing -- our friend was my doctoral advisor and we are still writing together after several decades -- very nice).
Home tomorrow!

@eyesmile Thank you so much Gena! It was so much fun to photograph all the bridges and so many different perspectives, between the piers, the boat, and then the balcony of our friend's house. What a great photo weekend! I appreciate your positive comments!
@ssimon Yes, the America's Cup was quite big when we were there -- you could see where it was by where helicopters were hovering. The day we were out on the bay was the one day the U.S. won a race and the NZ team almost tipped. But NZ rocked the rest of the time! THanks for your kind comment!
How beautiful, you are bringing me scenes I am unlikely to ever see in this lifetime. Just love the tiny glint of light on the sail boat, a lovely shot.
