San Francisco/Berkeley is a photographer's paradise! One of the subjects I've been fascinated with for awhile is trains and I couldn't help but compare their Bart subway system with our (Chicago's) L. The Bart is relatively new (in that it didn't start in the late 1800s!). It seemed so clean, quiet, with seats that almost felt luxurious! You can look up the schedule online and it's accurate for planning trips. I liked this image -- taken about 12 minutes before the train arrived. On the platform -- just Jim and me, and this person walking up from the far end. I liked how the sun from the ends and the lights from the platform illuminated only the area by the tracks (this segment was above ground).
But, for a totally different shot for today, please visit my extras album for the Koi Singing Quartet (for this week's theme, "four"). http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2013-09-16

The light, the angels and that silhouetted figure make for an amazing composition.I also really like the circular shape of bike tire in contrast to all those lines.
awesome ...especially viewed large ... love that processing ... sharp and crisp ... and those lines emphasizing the focus on that lone figure with great light ..fav!!
I viewed on large and felt it showed up the textures of the station more and loved the light too. However large or small it is a great composition and a fav! Love this sort of work you do in stations/trains Taffy!
@cjphoto Thanks Chris -- for your comment here and so many of my other recent ones. I appreciate it!! I've gotten so behind it was fun to take a look at some of yours. I also just realized you are about my nephews age and he is living (and surfing) in LA, in Venice.
@taffy - You're welcome! I know how getting behind feels. Was trying to catch up today too! Pretty cool you have a nephew my age living and surfing in LA, Venice. Haven't spent much time there but it is a beautiful place right off the water. I've never surfed before either but have some friends who do.
