Sorry about the long winter, but this is a beautiful shot....definite FAV! It is bleak, but glows with an inner warmth....just trying to break through!
Another amazing photograph. You and your camera work some real magic. Sears Tower (or Willis Tower, if I must) looks stark there against that relentlessly winter sky.
Thanks for your compliment on my chess pieces photo.
What a great shot. Sure can tell how cold it is there. I bet you will be so glad when all the snow from this year is gone. You and so many got hit so hard. FAV
@darsphotos Thanks so much for the fav, Darlene! It's been wonderful that at last it's in the 40s and the snow is melting. I wish we could send some of this to CA! Lake Michigan is supposed to be up about 2 feet which is great as our drought has created problems with low lake levels.
you are so very welcome, Taffy. I am glad that you are warming up. Your highs are lower than our lows at this point. We could use some moisture/snow/rain for sure. I had no idea that you are having drought issues as well. It has been a crazy Winter for so many.
@darsphotos It's been terrible for the past about 8 years. The great lakes (Michigan, Superior, etc.) have been down more than 2 feet from their highs in the 1980s. On Beaver Island, where we spend the summer, we have a house on a shallow bay and the lake is out almost 1 1/2 football fields in length, creating wetlands and marshes (nice for the bird life) but terrible for the lake. It will be interesting to see how the rise in levels affects the shore life. But we needed the lake to 'come back.'
