The Moon Peeks Through the Trees by taffy

The Moon Peeks Through the Trees

Not much in the way of creative juices today so decided to take a moon shot, forcing myself to do something with it besides a straightforward moon shot.
Extras album has the moon without the heavy tree branches.

I'm curious if you think one is a strong composition than the other. I couldn't decide.
I like the patterns created by the trees in this one and the added color in the background.

Like the fact the moon seems to be tangled in the tree

I think I prefer this one. The branches add interest and the moon seems to actually shine through them too.

great moon shot - great focus

I like them both very much, but I prefer the way the patterns of the tree and the moon are interwoven in this one. In the other shot, the two elements seem a bit disjointed and unrelated. Nice feeling of mystery in this one as well!

LOL- I find the branches distracting!

@olivetreeann I started out liking this one the best, but over time, have moved to liking the other one. Today, I lightened the contrast in both as they appear so much darker on the site than they do on my computer.

This one is a little more sinister than the other shot. They both have such a different feel. Nicely done.

@taffy Looks a little better lighter- but I'm still the odd-gal out liking the other shot better. But that's just me!

@olivetreeann Actually, interestingly most folks liked the other one as well. I think because it's not so cluttered (my words, not others). I wanted to create something here but it just didn't quite work.

Oh wow! This came out great!! Every time I try to do this the branches never seem crisp enough...looking at this I think the secret is to have he branches close to you! Hmmm I must try again! Fav!
