While waiting for the rest of the family to arrive, my brother, sister-in-law, and I picked up my nephew's birthday cake, had a lovely lunch, and then spent the afternoon wandering about in Lincoln Park wetlands and zoo. This is the two of them ahead of me in the tunnel under the statue of Ulysses Grant on his horse.

Thank you all so much for your view of the sun setting in the canyon, and your kind comments about my photos' recognition today. I really appreciate it.
What a beautiful shot Tardy! I love the way they are holding hands strolling towards the sunlight! Very romantic! Great framing with the arches of the bridge. I love an image like this which tells a story! Have a great family weekend! Congrats on your double TT - again! You are so consistent in the quality of your work! Always an inspiration! Fav of course!
I love this silhouette, young love. I love your work. I am your get pushed partner for this week. I have looked through your work and I would like you to something a bit different. A selfie portrait - but taken by you of your image in the mirror. If you think this is hard set the same for me too!
It's a bit of a challenge but I am sure you will enjoy it.
Truly beautiful capture. Love the way they are silhouetted with the great light and scene in front of them. Perfectly composed. I am sure they love it also.
@neatz Hi Anita and thanks for the get pushed. I don't really do selfies, unless pushed, so will give this one a try (but reluctantly). I'll be able to review your photos more tomorrow or Monday (family is visiting this weekend), so I hope you don't mind waiting as I'd like to create something interesting for you!
Its funny how silhouettes ahead of you make it hard to work out if they are coming towards you or going away! You say they are ahead of you. Its a nice framing!
@maggiemae Thanks Maggiemae. They were walking in front so I dropped back. At one point I asked them to stop (shouted 'stop' at them, in fact) and they both did, but those shots looked unnatural. I'd taken this one as they had started moving again and both my sister-in-law and I liked how it captured my brother's gait.
@espyetta Aw, thanks Mary Beth. I'll tell them your saw them as young in this photo -- it will make their day (although he is my younger brother by a few years!). They have stayed quite active.
Beautiful shot.
