Not much time to photograph and the alternate I had from today was a teabag taken with my iPhone at a work function tonight (boring despite extensive processing!). So, I decided to work with one of the photos I'd taken in Wisconsin. Taken with wide angle, bracketed hand-held with 3 shots, HDR processing in Photomatix with some additional work in Aperture and Color Efex. It was fun to play with but I'm not sure that the result was worth the time it took. Maybe the teabag would have been better...I very rarely suggest this but it makes a pretty big difference viewed on black.
Thank you for your wonderful comments on the urban mountains. If weather doesn't improve, I may have to turn it into a series.
AND a huge thanks for putting my shot of night falling over the abbey to TT!
Oh I do agree with you about viewing on large Taffy, I love the expanse of the tree and the tones in this shot. Nice work and it was definitely worth processing.
Oh my gosh, this really makes me feel scared! Great atmosphere and I like how you have filled the frame almost totally with the tree, works really well. Fav.
What a wonderfully "dark" image...and absolutely beautiful! I followed your "HDR" tag "down a rabbit hole" and after leaving comments on other interesting photos and following someone new, I thought I owed it to you to come back and leave my comment for you! ;)
Wow, your photos are sure wonderful to look at. You have come such a long way. Love this look of a Halloween night. This is what it reminds me of. Wonderful processing and have no clue what you did as I am way behind in processing but love it and maybe some day will understand and be able to get out and take some different photos. FAV
The tree is fabulous!
