I know I should be posting photos from Chicago, but with thousands of photos of France and Spain to process, I'm afraid that's what is ahead for the rest of this week. But for a change of pace from architecture and sights...here's how this photo happened...
Setting: I am sitting sleepily at the kitchen table of the house we'd rented in France, drinking a cup of tea. Junko
@jyokota comes back from a walk, carrying her camera.
Junko: I only shot a few snails...nothing interesting.
Taffy: What???? You found snails??? I've wanted to photograph snails for over a year since I'd seen some on 365
Junko: I'll show you where they are
Husbands: Uh...aren't we having breakfast?
Junko and Taffy (aloud): Of course, that's what we want to do first
Junko and Taffy (in our heads): Uh...breakfast, but that will take time away from the snails!
Husbands who are mind-readers: Why don't you just go ahead, shoot the snails before it gets too hot for them. We'll make breakfast.
Taffy & Junko: Yay! Thanks! Bye!
So, ta-da -- here is a shot that resulted. I kept about 10 and deleted about 80! There may be a snail collage in my 365 future.
Update from Snail: "Oui, I have heard of this escargot, but only in scary stories told to me by my parents...and always in a whisper. It scares me."
Thank you for your wonderful comments on my Palau Musica and Pathway to the Past photos. Barcelona's architecture rivals Chicago -- and that's saying a lot!
THANK YOU again for putting me on to Photomatix...Wow is it easier than PS! I'm really delighted with the results...but now I never leave to computer!
Taffy, for all I care, you can keep posting your France and Spain pics for another couple of months!
