Another day spent organizing Japan photos. I'm only on Day 3. This is never going to end...
Thank you for your wonderful response to the waterfall scene I posted yesterday. I appreciated your visits, comments, and favs. I will catch up on commenting!
Really interesting shot Taffy as it draws you in with those fab leading lines. It looks like tree tops on the rhs so are you high on mountain going to a monastery? Enough stop speculating! Lol! I love it when you keep us guessing!
Beautiful composition, Taffy - you have perfected the POV, angle and perspective to utilise the line of the walkway, and the B&W places all emphasis on the structure without distraction.
Your summer vacation has certainly been a wealth of riches! I can understand the "pain" you must feel, trying to bring a cohesiveness to your travels and stunning images! You bring us "One Beauty" after another, so thank you for them all!
I love the depth in this shot. I want to walk here. I'm your get pushed partner for the next fortnight. You take such great shots I don't think you need a technical challenge so I'm asking you to photograph an image that fits the word power (however you interpret it).
How beautiful! It reminds me of a place we visited while in Japan. It was on a hill and I believe it was known for some kind of fire festival. We weren't there when it was happening.
Really gorgeous image. Love the line and DoF. There is always a lot of processing to do after shooting...but that is just a sign that you enjoyed some serious shooting, it's part of the fun .-)
@angiec So true -- today's shot of the hay bales ended up involving a few hours of processing and choosing among 4 versions I'd created. When a shot feels good, processing is so fun. When it's to cover up a disappointing shot, it never works out!
love the lines and the natural vs built
I love the peace and simplicity that you've captured here. It works really well in B&W
